[HOW TO] Install a USB-Serial Link in Windows

Prior to connecting the device please ensure that your PCs Operating System is included in the list of Supported Operating Systems at the bottom of this post.
To install the driver:
- Download the latest driver from the Lavalink.com website (Lava_2014_07_05.zip). All our drivers can be found in the Support & Drivers section of our website.
- Once the download has completed, open the zip folder and extract its contents to a known location on your Computer (eg My Desktop).
- After extracting the files you should have a single folder entitled "Windows" containing a series of files and folders.
- Connect the USB-Serial Link to any free USB port in your PC. After a moment, Windows will detect the device and open the "Found New Hardware wizard".
- Specify the location where the Hardware wizard can find the drivers for the USB-Serial Link (eg My Desktop\Windows).
- When a valid drivers has been detected and the installation has started, Windows will open a warning that the drivers have not passed Windows Logo testing with Microsoft.This warning can be ignored. Click "Continue Anyway".
- You will need to repeat the installation for each serial port sequentially.
- Once all the ports have been installed you will find the Serial Ports will be listed in the Device Manager under "Ports (COM & LPT)".
- At this point the Ports should be ready to use.
