Windows won’t accept the LavaPCIe.zip driver for my PCIe card - admin - 11-14-2011

Issue:
The LavaPCIe.zip file is configured for our current production version of the PCIe cards. For older cards a different driver may be required.

Cause:
A hardware change required a modification of the PCIe header which allows Windows to uniquely identify every card. Therefore the initial version of our PCIe cards requires a slightly different driver set.

Resolution:
To verify the version of card you have:

1. Go to the Device Manager, Right Click on the PCIe Port and select Properties.
2. Select the Details tab
3. Select the Hardware IDs from the drop down list box.

The field below the drop down list box will display the Hardware IDs for the PCIe card. All of our newer cards will start with an identifier of [PCI\VEN_9710&DEV …].

If your card displaying itself as [PCI\VEN_1407&DEV ...] then it’s an older card and just requires the original driver. [link: PCIe_v1_00_00.zip]

Applies to:
  • All PCIe card manufactured before 2009

The link to the original driver is not working.
How do I get the windows 32 bit driver for card PCI\VEN_1407&DEV ?

What link were you using to download the driver?

Under Windows all of our PCI, PCIe and USB to Serial products require the same driver, which can be downloaded via the following link:

Once you've downloaded the file and extracted its contents to your desktop you should only need to point the Windows Device Manager to the root of the folder where you extracted the files.

Let me know if you're still having trouble with the installation and I'll be happy to assist further.

How do I get to the last read post in a topic or perhaps that should be the oldest unread post like I was able to in the old format?

I'm not really sure what it is that you're referring to, the format of the forum hasn't changed for some time.
