I've got an ethernet based PBX sending SMDR (Station Message Detail Recording) data out onto our LAN. I need to be able to collect the data through a program that is monitoring the DB9 com port on my PC.

Is it possible to configure the ESL to accept a connection and convert raw data received from the PBX to serial on the DB9 side?
You should be able to achieve this by putting the ESL into Raw Server mode, assuming that the PBX is capable of opening a socket connection, which I'm assuming it is.

You'll need to configure your PBX to point to the IP Address and TCP Port of the ESL in Raw Server Mode, by default this would be 192.168.0.35:4098. Once connection has been established the ESL will send all data received on the TCP port out the serial Port.

In addition you'll need to configure the settings on the Serial Port of the ESL to make sure that they match the serial settings expecting by your application, but other than that it should work fine.

I had the same problem . I configure my PBX to point to the IP Address and TCP Port of the ESL in Raw Server Mode.Still i have some configuring issues.
Could you elaborate on the configuration issues you're having with your PBX? and how you've configured your setup?

having simular issues now with config also

Servicing Stop
Would you be able to expand on your setup and how you currently have your ESL configured?

Is your ESL setup for Driver Mode? Or are you using the ESL in one of our RAW Socket modes?
