PCIe parallel port .... Changing I/O Resources? - jon.morenc - 07-27-2015

We are trying to use the PCIe parallel port card on a application which requires to have the I/O ressource adress of the card. The PC runs WIn 7 and the drivers were installed succesully. Unfortunately the I/O ressource range associated with the card changes every times we reboot the computer.

Can you help me on this?

Unfortunately Windows 7, and our card for that matter, simply utilize the I/O Resources that are allocated to it by the BIOS at Boot. Since both the card and the OS are at the mercy of the BIOS there is really no way to prevent the changing of resources on our side.

In my experience a card's resources don't often change from boot to boot. I would suggest investigating your motherboard's BIOS, or updated BIOS releases to see if this is a known issue.
